All I remember is, while the post is on your screen, you tap or press or long press or settings or options and a menu appears where you can select "Thank".
All I know is, if you figure it out you really should come back here and thank this post because you're driving me nuts with this.

I always heard from all the mods that one cannot thank from the forum app but I'll tap on menu ,right now and then browser and I'll find myself on the online forum so I can thank Spider for his efforts!
