There were digital copies of a lot of nursing reference books when I was in nursing school 7 years ago. I used the heck out of my Palm Treo 650. I'm sure I still have it somewhere.
This was pre-iOS or Android. Your choices were RIM, some mobile version of Windows and Palm.
FYI, I also own another dinosaur in a Galaxian video game cocktail table.

I have two or three of those boat anchors around here somewhere. I even have the phone, I really thought they where going to last. Hope I'm not saying the same about the nook later.

I thought they would be around a lot longer too. The T|X is my most recent one and it is sitting on a bookshelf perfectly functional and the only use I have for it is to read one of the 70+ books I have that are only in that format.

Have you seen the pace of tablet development lately? I can guarantee you will be saying the about the Nook. For me, I'm glad it was my starter tablet and the price was right. Now it provides me the opportunity to be patient and not feel like I have to jump on this tablet or that tablet. With prices coming down and specs going up it is only a matter of time until I get a new tablet. Maybe it will be an octocore with 8GB of RAM for $400 in Q4 2012

Yup. I had 2 of the phones. A Treo 600 & a Treo 650. I had free unlimited data on them. I miss those days for sure.
