I ordered a cable yesterday, got it today and tried again. worked perfect and now I (or to be honest: my parents) have a Viewpad with Viewcomb 3.2

Hi, when is the 3G + GPS be fixed ? Currently my chinese clone of the ViewSonic tablet runs this ROM. Perhaps there is a better suited ROM for my tab where 3G+GPS already works. Does anybody know ? Please advice. Thanks and best regards Robert.

These are all known issues, we are currently working to fix all bugs and issues. Lack of memory is already solved by recompiling the kernel. Also, we experimenting with new wifi drivers and new kernel patches (by Eduardo).

The music play shut down by itself as well. Think it's already been identified.

What's this lack of memory issue? It will be fixed in ver 6 of the OS?

Music app shutting down because lack of memory. It's already fixed in new test version.

I'm very new to android and with your software I like it.
read about other roms, which are very complicated to install.
your one is really simple to install and very beautiful.

I only have 2 problems: if I choose sd-card in camera-application it tells me to put in a sd-card. but I think sd card is used when I choose to save on tablet. so it's still fine.

other problem: some apps on the market can not me installed. only found 1 yet. I think it's a memory problem. googled about it but no fix from the market worked. and wasn't able to test the more complicated ones. (app was wind up knight=)

is it a bug?

Still testing with 5.1, suddenly the browser is not starting anymore. I installed the Dolphin Browser and seems to work fine.
Have you noticed browser not working anymore? Anyway to fix that?

Had the same problems with this application this days^^
Managed to get apk and installed it, it runs without any problems on my Viewpad running ViewComb 5!
Don't know exactly what memory the market means...

thanks for viewcomb 3.2 build 5.1 its great OS, but still there are lack, such as GSM PIN has always rejected, what will be resolved when the build 6??, whatever the issue is not resolved in build 5.1? and can be resolved in build 6

Can not wait to build six, finally today I installed the build viewcomb 5.1. It looks very pretty and the graphics are very soft. As we said the other friends, viewcomb still has some drawbacks. Often device restart itself.
But I am very satisfied with this OS, although there are some weaknesses. Hopefully the next update bug can be fixed.

When i using Viewpad 10s with Stock ROM, i able to do sms using an application named Go SMS Pro. Can we do the same thing on ViewComb, specially later on build 6 ?

i install this rom . . . rom is very nice but very slow . . ! the ram in this rom is 50 - 10 mb but ram in stoke rom is 200 - 250 mb so stock rom is faster . . .
the battery usage in this rom is more than stock rom . . . i install stock rom . . i hope these problem solving in build 6 . . i want android 3.2 without problem . . . thanks for port honey comb on viewpad 10s . . this is great work . . . thank

After trying two days of this ROM, finally today I returned to the original firmware ViewPad 10s (android 2.2 Froyo) Too many problems with this ROM, the browser becomes very slow, the internet is often not detected, often restarts itself. Display ROM is indeed beautiful and nice views, but there are still many problems that make us uncomfortable using it. I hope there will be a stable 3.2 ROM ...... pretty but does not reduce comfort when using it.
Hopefully this can be an input for further development.

hi everyone, this is a very newb queetion but i am new user to viewcomb rom. i was trying to copy and paste a file from my download folder to pictures folder. i was able to hold down on file to copy it, but can't seem to figure out how to past it to the new folder. thank you for your patience with new user.

Hi, using the 5.1 version without major problems. However 3G and GPS in not working, have other noticed this as well ? I'm using a chinese clone of the ViewSonic tablet. Also read some place that HDMI is not working is this release, can anybody confirm or reject ? So my question is , when will ver 6 be released and does it fix the problems I mentioned ? For all developers out there struggling with giving us these ROM:s , all respect to you. Keep up the great work, you deserve all credit. Thanks and best regards Robert.

I got the upgrade to work up to transferring system.img (about 20% of it) and then it jsut hang there.. waited over half an hour and still at the same point.. tried 3 build and to download the latest build on 3 diffrent hard drive (in case of corruption) and still no go. Also i dont get any kind of error mesage , my driver are still active my tablet is not on the lock mode and does show the text in the top left corner indicating it is in the recovery mode. Any idea???
