Hi,
I'm new here and have a Viewpad 10s for the first days. Coming from HTC Desire World, so know "i woud say" very well the process of flashing, rooting, CWM stuff.

My thought was that its not necessary to root, so I directly flashed your Viewcomb over the standard 2.2 ROM, i ended up in the boot "view-comb" loop, tried also vegacomb, nothing changed, did first install the modded-standard, which works, did try to put your ROM on top but it did again not work, did install again modded-standard and WIPED all caches and data, and tried again to install your ROM, but again "hanging in the boot loop", I also tried everything without the SD card inside, have read many things in different forums, tried all hints, but no success.

Can someone please help.

i think you can try viewcomb build 5.1, because more stabil than 6.
for 6.1 still waiting report from another member. be patient

I even do not manage to boot the first time, I get stuck after installation with the "ViewComb" Intro screen.
This first boot loop. even waiting for an hour does not change anything, also tried VEGAcomb, the same problem.

I know that many others had the problem, but all solutions I've seen did not solve me problem.

like SD card removal, first install the modded-standard, do a wipe-cache,...

i think you can intall stock rom, and try again with install the Viewcomb build 6.1. You must be sure the charger connector plugged on your VP10s

about hidden wlan: my viewpad 10S 3G in fresh out the box stock rom wouldn't even see the it. I think some of this product froyo 2.2 maybe defective in weird way. strangely enough when I rooted it, the problem in wifi disappear. Dunno which of what cause it.

about boot loop: do you experience it also when back to the stock rom? You may want to start check your usb male-male cable or the rom installer exe file.

- Hidden works fine in the modded stock ROM, but definitely not in 6.1 ROM.
- Boot Loop does only happen with the Honeycomb Roms (Vegacomb, Viewcomb). If I use the modded-stock it works fine. Also it seems to work fine with Viewcomb 6.1, but this ones does not allow hidden WLANs. Is there any most secure way to do a ROM installation, which one is the best`? how about the all in one EXE installation files, does this require a wipe,....before to be save?

I've been thinking about ICS, and started working on it. It is not hard to do it, almost all HC drivers should work in ICS with no modifications, but some developers have already get a good results with the ICS on tegra2. Cass67 has managed to boot ICS on vega, he will definitely do it better than me. Eduardo also makes a great contribution to this project, without his knowledge it is almost impossible to complete successfully.

yes, certain titles are not scaling, and the touch input can be buggy, its just a matter of trial and error, I have found though, that roms for gameloft games for the devices lg p9990 (smartphone), and the acer Iconia a500 (tablet) do work, but its a hit and miss if they scale properly, i think thats down to the resolution of the viewpad, 1024x600, If you can find a tegra 2 device with the same resolution, you may find the scaling works properly, im working to find that out, i do have PES2011 working, but with black bars on the side, would be sweet if it scaled properly...

when looking at a game rom, find out what device its for, whether it runs a tegra 2 chipset, and what resolution the device's screen is, if we can find out a popular brand with the same chipset AND screen resolotion, we hit "paydirt", and the games should play and fit the screen properly...
