The only way mine will click and stay is carrier logo on top facing the pad and the notched end inserted first. Leaving the chip towards the top of the slot and facing away from the . I did notice that the voice mail call in number is getting populated.
I tried to setup a APN with V24 but when creating a new or editing the existing one the APN disappeared entirely. even with a reload and cache wipe.
I have tried this SIM in Palm-Win mobile- Android and symbian phones. most of the smart phone had no data plan and were unbranded or unlocked. The SIM has been unlocked for years. I will assume the tablet isn't locked?

Have you tried this:

Settings->Wireless and Network Settings->Mobile Networks->Network Operators and see if it can find the T-Mobile Network ??

i see. Good for you, but it doesn't work on mine. Not sure if maybe it is because i still have to use an adapter/converter (standard usb to mini-usb).

I did use a mini usb to standard usb adapter.. this is with v24 HD104.

i have v24 HD104 as well. Did you do anything else after plugging in the device? or it detected it automatically? when I plugged my usb keyboard, the keyboard will only lit for a second, and thats it. The Tablet does not recognize it.

I have the same issue with my DB w7 I did get it to recognize a sim but one i bought when i was in Thailand, so far no ATT or my local carrier Airfire Mobile. My sim also will only go in in one direction, since it did recognize the Thai sim I assume the reader is working..frustrating!!

I assume a keyboard should work as synrgic have confirmed it working, will try test it soon unless someone can check it out before.

I just tried a usb mouse and didnt work. Are u plugging it to the mini usb or to the micro usb (where we charge the tab) ?

I haven't yet tried any usb devices. From Dealextreme, I got this adapter that has an interesting explanation, although I don't know if this is true:

This IS an USB OTG adapter. There are lots of similar adapters on the market even on this site. For example SKU 28991 or 26783 - but they both are NOT an OTG adapters, just "cable converters". Instead of this SKU 50944 IS and USB OTG host adapter. Difference between cable converter and host adapter is connection of 5th contact inside it's body. In converter this contact is not connected anywhere. Therefore if you use converter to connect PDA and NAND flash - then it won't work. PDA won't see flash cause it won't turn on host mode. But in host adapter SKU 50944 5th contact is bound to 4th contact. This forces PDA turn on host mode and recognize external USB devices - flash, mice, keyboards and so on. I tested it with COWON A2 PMP - with generic USB Af-Bm converter it does not see flash memory attached. But with this adaptor it works well.

For the price, it worths a try.

You are probably right. I've been hearing about the USB OTG for a while now. Please update us if you were able to connect a usb/keyboard with that, and will buy one.

I had some issues with mine but only on the data side. I didnt have any luck doing the APN settings manually in the end I fixed it by installing the app: "All operator APN's" by Tweakker. from the market (its free) over wifi, it downloads the correct APN's and sets everything up after that my 3g was good..

Device bricked hiya i tryed flashing the new version v24 and it has totally bricked the device get to boot screen then nothing any ideas on how to fix i am downloading the sdk to see if this can access it via adb

Can you still go to the Android recovery menu? if you can, try to restore old firmware.
