Amazon Free App of the Day

Pix'N Love Rush is the 8/21 app.

Take command of Pixel the cat and complete the different levels as quickly as possible, collecting as many bonuses as you can along the way! Your heartbeat cannot resist the Rush! All you love about classic Jump & Run games condensed into 5 minute sessions, or in infinite play mode, for those who have nerves of steel and incredible reflexes!

This looks like a decent game, but I didn't try it. It sounds like the game itself is fine, it just depends on if you like retro style games like this.

Smiley Blaster AdFree is the 8/22 app.

These Smileys laugh, wink, cry, and entertain you along the way. Burst the bubbles with the smiley blaster. Shoot the blaster in the crowd and take out as much as possible. It all sounds simple enough, but you'll soon find some of your ammo will turn into obstacles, and you'll need to bank your shots to get anywhere.

UniWar HD is the 8/23 app.

UniWar is the online multiplayer turn-based strategy game for the iPhone. Players take turns building their army and fighting against each other using the strengths of their units while taking advantage of the terrain. It is like chess or checkers but with a lot more possibilities and different boards. Join several games and move up the ranks to become the top player! Play anyone, anywhere at anytime!

This game is usually $5 and 20 of 24 reviewers give it 5 stars. Does anyone know how to play the game? The instructions were quite wordy and didn't help much. You can go online and give it a "Test Drive" before downloading.

CrossMe Color is the 8/24 app.

CrossMe Color is a fun and challenging puzzle for all skill levels and all ages from beginners to enthusiasts. It is a Japanese Crossword (Nonogram) where you discover a hidden image marking cells or leaving them blank according to the numbers on the side of the grid.

I take it nobody else has played UniWar either.

Anyhoo, CrossMe Color has 26 5 star ratings and 12 1 star ratings. The one star ratings complained about Data mining and requiring excessive permissions. You can try it out on line with their Test Drive feature if you are not sure you want to install it on your device.

I got the first crossme and have enjoyed it. I don't recall if the permissions changed during an update or not. You can always get it but not install it if you have second thoughts about privacy.

Contract! I don't need no contract! This is for the good of mankind! Or is it humankind? I hate being politically correct.

This is for the good of mankind!

Are you saying we've been sending all that beer for nothing? I think you should talk this over with the bear, he'd get really upset if he couldn't steal your beer from time to time.
