Just a guess, "to cut the strands of the spider's web and free the insects" and/or "cut pieces of web to prevent the spiders from getting to the insects".

It has some low ratings because some of the early downloaders got charge for it by mistake. The app itself is fine. Nothing to crack open a beer for, but pretty good.

Not to worry, Spider has emergency exits all over the web.
When the app hadn't appeared by 6:00 AM, I knew things would be messed up. Usually, that's when they offer an app and then change it after a while to a different one.
