-I put the file in my Sdcard (4Gb) the way i downloaded it. "Crystal_Root.zip"
-Turned off My device completely
-Turned on by holding power and volume(-) simultaneously until entering in recovery mode.
-Selected "apply update from sdcard"
-Then i Chose the file Crystal_Root.zip from my Sdcard.

After that my coby 7060 device report:

E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed

if it is not working for you try root_with_recovery_by_binary

hope somebody can help us bin4ry's rooting app doesnt work at all
i was hoping i could root this so i can do this Tablet Mods: Internal Memory and External SD Card Swap
coby mid7060 lacks sd memory

I'm trying everything like in the first post and it's going great until the part where I have to change the "default build.prop" to "default build.prop.bak", I can't find the build.prop file, where is it?? =S

Edit: Found it! You should said that we need to install root explorer so that we can have access to the the root of the device.

you don't need root explorer.,ESfile manager can explore system folder.,just go to esfile manager/settings enable up to root etc.,

I have a MID7060, when it was new "factory Fresh" out of the box, it would show the error "Serial number targeting fails" error when checking for updates. FWIW The Coby tech told me this is because there are no updates. He also did not know that Coby was producing a MID7060 or a MID7065, and to contact Coby Asia, but did not have a phone# or website for them. (BTW there is no tech support in Asia that I can find)

I don't see this error on my Coby 7065, Can you upload your dump? I would like to compare the two. Also does your tablet support booting from micro sdcard like 7065 does?
