Another issue I found is some specific app cannot be launch( no response when I click on them), even on the newest version. Can we get the reason via logcat?
For example, app: com.taobao.etao-1.apk. You can download it from here:

gps working, but not so good as in 4.2 . show 12 satelites in view , 2 in use.
but its not so important . if have free time , could check

first bug what i found - i installed game hay day. and there are no buttons to come back or exit application
i mean 3 buttons on a buttom. - return , home and show running apps. dont know only for this game or not
so problem to come back from full screen

You may have actually hit a feature I think KitKat allowed full-screen apps. If you pull down the top of the screen it should display the buttons.

Dear PJBrs, I upgraded to your firmware with the sole intention to get the brand new free Microsoft Word app that only runs on Android 4.4+. Your firmware (25 June) is fantastic. I found a compatible GAPPS package for CM11 here (the CM11 'small' worked just fine), after flashing that, downloading MS Word went without a problem. Many thanks!!!

Is this etao? Because it just works (that is, it loads) on my tablet. I only find soms message about background killer killing etao in your logcat, but nothing else. Have you installed gapps? You can also try tot clean cache and dalvik cache from recovery. Otherwise, I'm afraid I can't help with this one.

Yes. etao and coolapk cannot be lanched. Seems they are both killed by LBE finally. I'll test to disable LBE and see if this can be solved.

Same problem here - cannot enter recovery. I wish I could try KitKat on my old a2109!

Do you have the external sdcard unpluged? if yes, could you plug one in and have a try? Could someone else with successfully booting confirm you do have a external sdcard plug in? and have a try without one? seems my machine's external sdcard part is bad. sometimes works and sometimes not.

I'm currently in the process of porting PAC ROM from grouper. It probably won't work, but what the heck.

UPDATE: I got it working! Minimal fixes were needed to get it working without FCs (had to remove Nfc.apk since we don't have NFC whereas grouper does). I'll post it in a new thread.

If you like, you can download gapps for Android 4.4.4 for this rom. I'd say just Google for gapps KitKat and you should find plenty links. Good luck!!
