Hi,

So far, the RC05 is EXCELLENT!, although i have few question regarding it:

1. How to have a copy-past file in efile? it works on IfileExplorer from stock rom, but this time i have no idea how to do it.
2. Drive Mount is buggy, not indicate the mounted drive, force close several times
3. Sometimes, the installed apps is not recognized, but everything back to normal when you reboot.
4. Using MoboPlayer is slower than stock rom, but contrary the diceplayer is working like a charm!
5. How to get this device into standby mode?
6. Battery is running out a little bit faster than stockROM
7. The browser is buggy when doing portrait mode, changed to dolphin HD browser, no problem until now.

Still testing until now, i will update it again if i find something else.
Other than that... this rom is awesome..

thanks!

Hi,
I'm using ViewSonic Viewpad 10S with B6-RC04. So far so good, love the ROM very much, thanks Legionnaire!
One thing I noticed, I can't play youtube videos from the browser, is this normal? The browser tells me that I need to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player to watch this video.
And sometimes the wifi just stop working and I need to reboot the device to get it work again. Is this normal? Thanks.

Hi,
You have to download flash player from the market.
I have no problem with WiFi on my device. I use viewpad 10s 3G.

I use viewpad 10s 3G
B6-RC04 no bootloop iisue anymore..... but often the 3G signal is gone and must be restart, browser run slower than froyo 2.2, rotation still slow, HDMI not working.....
If you prefer the look of a tablet .... choose this rom....
but if you want the full functionality of a tablet, original firmware is the best choice!!
Thanks Legionnaire!!!

wat the heck is the purpose of this new kernel then? i tried bluetooth + wifi, still not connecting as it should..:confused:

thanks should goes to newbe, eduardo and the team, legionnare just merely compile and make some cosmetic changes...

Hello there,

Im using B6-RC04 right now.
Everything is much more stable and faster. Thank you once again, Legionnaire.

However, there are two issues that remains from bootloop version.
One is the WLAN disconnection after my Viewpad 10s enter in standby mode. The device tells me that is connected but every time I try to use Internet, says that this operation needs WLAN connection. Worst of all, I can't do anything through Definitions, but everything come back to normal after reboot.

Another one is the power management. After 13 hours of standby mode, my device have 70% of battery. I think that is related with the previous issue that I talked about.

Does anyone had this kind of issues with RC05?
Legionnaire, what are the differences between RC04 and RC05?

Best regards,

That's what I wrote in the first post. You just have to read.

Differences between RC04 and RC05 are in the offset values only in cmdline.
In my case, power management is OK, better than in previous versions.

In that case, my only solution is to turn off the device.
Or I will try B6-RC05 version to check if those issues remains.

Legionnaire, since you dont have these issues in your Viewpad 10s 3G, maybe there are anything to do with offset values that you talked about.
Since there is on ViewSonic Knowledge Base two different updates 1.11 (one for 3G and other for NOT 3G), maybe you could extract those offset values.
Is it possible?

Thank you once again.
Best regards

helo legionaire where source location for boot first, and where source location for open lock screen, may be i can be solve the problem where 3G can't connected after screen off, and can connect again after reboot

Offset values have nothing to do with 3G.

Crap! ... lol

It would be nice that ViewSonic guys could tell the differences between 10s and 3g version =)

That would be awesome.

I REALLY don't understand why i can't get the freakin mail to work.

I use the same settings like pop & smtp server and ports i use on the stock ROMS 1.09 and 1.11, but i can't get the program to accept the SMTP server (And believe me i tried every possibility, and even contacted my provider):confused::confused:

This way these ROM's are useless to me
