billquinn: if people are providing actual information (i.e. can be changed from launcher but not gallery, etc), it doesn't bother me as much. but just to say "this doesn't work" after someone else has already mentioned it is useless.
the Gallery issue is because the Camera.apk crashed. i removed it in my sandbox, but i'm doing more stuff than i should at once, and i have broken some other stuff.. i am working on 1.2a.. i think i'm just going to unzip 1.2, remove Camera.apk, replace Music.apk, etc. as a quick fix.
btw, that wallpaper is from zedge. if you use adb, you can pull framework-res.apk from the tablet and get res/drawable/default_background.jpg out of it. (i think that's the filename.. the underscore might be wrong.)
yes, i did forget to change the shell.. it was late and my wife was wanting me to come to bed.

6. xaueious' optimized libwebcore.so has replace the stock webkit lib.
7. LauncherPro is now the default launcher.
8. The Dalvik JIT compiler has been enabled. <--- This causes breakage.

10. AndroidTablets.net app preinstalled.
Here it is. The first non-Coby ROM for the MID7015/MID7015A (same thing, different versions).
The custom status bar icons are from stewartchamp's Watermark'D theme for Ultimate Droid.
gapps preinstalled with the useless (maps, goggles, street view) ones removed. some other cruft deleted.
boot.img from the original update was used for this, so ro.secure is set to 0. I've also added clockworkmod recovery to the zip and update-script.
/system/xbin and /system/bin were copied with no overwrite from the original update.
Root tools preinstalled.
LCD Density is 200 in build.prop.
As usual, if you break your device, it's not my fault. (i.e. I'm not responsible for your decisions.)
Install process with Clockworkmod Recovery:
You must have clockwork recovery installed in order to install this firmware.
This ROM formats both the system and data partitions.
Download link:
watery-kyros-v1.2.zip
Place this file in the root of your sdcard.
1. Reboot into Clockworkmod Recovery
2. Select Backup and Restore.
3. Select Backup
4. Press the silver Back button to get back to the main menu.
5. Select Wipe data/factory reset.
6. Select Install zip from sdcard
7. Select Choose zip from sdcard
8. Select the Watery Kyros update file you downloaded.
9. Select reboot now.
It will take a while for the first boot. You'll need to skip the Setup Wizard so you can turn on wifi. To add your Google account after that, just try to use a Google app.

stargiss: I had the same setup like yours and I started using the Watery 1.1 ROM firmware. I will never go back to the original firmware (rooted or not). This one is 100% better and more responsive. Thanks for the great work.
Ya...I'm going to do it I think but I think I'll wait until l_n gets the music issue resolved first.
You can zip 1.1
2 Unless I sell this one and get the 7026 before that happens. I really want the 1026 but don't want to spend the extra $$.
It was posted that on Amazon they selling for about $260... I am looking into how much they will be but i don't know if i will be able to beat that price... They will be alot better ones coming with QUADcore later this year so the news ones out now will be alot cheaper ( maybe) :O)
3 Plus I kinda like this 7" size. Small enough to drop into my jacket pocket but big enough to see everything just fine.
