MID7024 "Official" and Custom ROMs

This is exactly what MID1024 needs.

What have you changed so far? It seems that you can go from 7024's CFW to 8024's CFW and vice-versa, will this work with 1024 too?

Note that I didn't apply a Honeycomb theme to this ROM, I was just saying that a Honeycomb-themed Gingerbread ROM was possible.

I don't know if this can work with the 1024, but flxrms got the 1024 stock froyo working on the 7024, so he probably knows more about this than I do.

Its easy to add the 1024 modules and uboot files but is there someone brave enough to test it first. There's a 50% chance of bricking the tablet.

Yep good thing we now have the original files. You need the uboot of 1024. Next is the touchpanel driver, Im not sure if the capacitive touch drivers they used for 7inch tab will work with 10inch touchpanel.

-Hex edited u-boot.*, set_bootargs, and INand.vhd to fix camera (set camera=hi704)
-Added kernel (zImage, zImage.debug) from jmv_10's gingerbread ROM for 8024
-Added kernel modules, touchscreen calibration app, and other files from jmv_10's ROM (look in update/coby_kyros.tgz)
-Added stock logo.png
-Changed bootanimation (Drizzle)
-Modified utscript.sh to install coby_kyros.tgz

I didn't change anything else. I like the ROM the way it is.

do you know how can i change the boot animation? i hate drizzle, i already put mine into system/media but it didn't work

do you know if the rom uses v6 supercharger script or something similar?

LOL I didn't see the 'boot' folder inside the update directory, that contains the bootanimation.

another question pal, do you know how can i remove google calendar and google contacts safetly? cuz i deleted them with titanium but now i received error messages from google framework process.

yup, that worked.

another little thing im trying to fix is that titanium backup doesn't see my ext 16gb sdcard, it displays my external storage as /mnt/sdcard that's the internal 4GB sdcard, in flxrms's rom it displayed the extsd by default.

now if i could uninstall google contacts without having those idiotic google framework errors. . .

battery life is amazing in this rom man, have you tested it?
