OK....just got a new motherboard .....
unlocked the bootloader and installed the latest 20160217 cm11.
Keep getting FC for "Setup Wizard".....
Don't know what to do next
May try the Oct cm11 and than upgrade to Feb version.

I did click about 10+ times still on the FC windows. This is what I did to overcome it.
- reflash it using 20151001
- delete user data and cache, reboot
- When the welcome screen and setup wizard come up, reboot back to recovery
- flash 20160217
- reboot.
- setup wizard worked fine and no more FC.

So far so good, restored all my apps and recharged it overnight.
The big test will be my kid to "test" it this weeked.

Hmmm... I think I must have made a small mistake somewhere in the last KitKat build... I don't like the FCs in the setup wizard. I think that perhaps I shipped some grouper lollipop blob where I should have shipped a grouper kitkat blob. I'll do another build later. Still, the last build is the safest one.

I did a complete rebuild of KitKat, but unfortunately the Setup Wizard keeps force closing. I have no idea why. As a workaround, you can open the left-hand pull down menu and long-press the date. From there, you can open the settings menu and add an account. After that, it seems to work.

Okay, I found the problem:
This commit: 305fb2d773a506243723a8893e62a28b16e3a2b2 removes the CMAccount package, because it has been deprecated. But CMAccount is necessary for the Setup Wizard, so, as a solution I added it back in.

Can you please be a bit more specific? What recovery did you flash? What commands did you use?

I used command fast boot flash recovery to flash recovery.I want to flash recovery required to flash cm 11. And its not a bad download I have downloaded it multiple times and the flash is successful but I am unable to boot into recovery

I just triple checked - as far as I can tell the recovery is fine. I both booted and flashed it, the md5sum is correct, and the kernel is right. Perhaps the flash itself went wrong? Try:

fastboot -i 0x17ef boot cwm-6.0.5.1-20160217-UNOFFICIAL-kai.img

Perhaps you still have the old bootloader installed? Did you upgrade to cm-10.2 from stock ICS or stock Jelly Bean?

You need to download JBBootloader to your tablet and flash it via old CWM recovery, then you will be able to flash new CWM in fastboot mode.

When I tried that, I found that it actually contained the ICS bootloader. I ended up installing mcl's jelly bean, which does include the bootloader.

Okay, and one more update - I just found yesterday that I had GPS logging turned on, which means that /data/gps/log/ slowly fills up with garbage. Please update:

cm-11-20160318-UNOFFICIAL-kai.zip (md5: 5317b05ef72bc11c180e380ede1aa7ba)

After that, you might want to drop to a shell, switch to root, and do:

rm /data/gps/log/*

Hi PJBrs,

After back and forward between CM12.1 and CM11, I settled on CM11. The lag on the CM12.1 is lot higher than CM11. It is just as slow as my Nexus 7 running CM12.1

Anyway, I tested your latest build with VTS (Releases · nowsecure/android-vts · GitHub). It reported that your build contains the following vulnerable.

CVE-2015-6616
CVE-2015-3636
CVE-2014-3153
CVE-2013-6282


Not sure you can patch it or not.
