Hi, Legionnaire!
I have just downloaded build 6.3. After playing with the tablet for a few minutes I understood that this build has some bugs. They are: touch screen not acting normally, titanium backup doesn't think it's worth restoring my data (the programm writes ''not enough memory'' though there IS enough memory). Still thanks for the work, keep it up. I hope you'll make this ROM perfect. The most stable Build is #5 so far.

yes, iv had that particualr problem also, not sure why...., i tried installing an app from the marketplace and it said "not enough memeory", yet other apk's install just fine...wonder why !

I am very happy with the rom "Build 6.2" Your Leg, but in the build 6.2, still frequent restart. I do not know why but in the 6.1 build in few restarts even almost never. Issues for the "Build 6.3" isjust adding full HDMI only, or any other changes?

If you try to download applications larger than 30MB market cache file is too small for that.


Try this:

Solution 1

First download gscript lite from the market
Open in up and create a new script paste in the following


clear
echo "mounting system as read-write"
mount -o rw,remount -t rootfs /
echo "unmounting /cache"
umount /cache
echo "removing directory -- /cache"
rmdir /cache
echo "creating directory -- /data/cache"
mkdir /data/cache
echo "creating symlink -- /data/cache -> /cache"
ln -s /data/cache /cache


Save the script and then run it.
Now you should be able to download larger files but the cache is reset on boot so you will need to run the saved script when updating or downloading larger apps.


Solution 2

Use one of these scripts with ScriptManager, set to 'Run as Root' and 'Run at Boot' (just like with the Supercharger script), it should solve the issue. Thanks to Scumball for sharing how to solve the issue over at modaco.

market_symlink.sh >> cache to /data on device

Hi Legionnaire. Can you uncap fps in ViewComb? Test shows that fps locked on 52.

Frankly, I don't know where is fps located...
Eduardo on modaco says: "perhaps could be capped to the display refresh rate inside the nvidia propietary libraries..."

Came now to report, some of my countryman with me included, bluetooth on viewpad 10S using viewcomb 6.2 and much older build, do not works. It would not recognized any bluetooth near the tablets. oddly enough, some of us discover that it can detect bluetooth on PC or laptop, but not Handphone even if it run android OS also. Any idea why?

Legionnaire, your ROM based on Vegacomb, but in Vegacomb fps uncap and UI more faster than in Viewcomb and does not have artifacts (slow response time).

With your work my tablet is wonderfull to use. The first time I had to work with Android2.2 I was very disapointed, but now I love my viewpad 10s.
I hope one day it will be possible to use it with IceCreme.

looked on a few sites last night, the issue with the accelerometer , you have to switch OFF via the settings menu "Auto rotate screen", there is a widget on a few vegacomb builds that allow this switching to be done from the home screen, upto you to search out this and install it, if the application/game does not have a calibration option, then switch off auto rotate screen, and it should work !

Everything runs perfectly on my pad now, but just one small detail: Why does it take more than one click on the bottons of my viewpad to wake it up? I feel the response is slow.
