...how do I explore the stick? It doesn't appear in the eFile app...
Look in /mnt/USB/System_USB (or very similar.. don't have the tablet at hand to check)

Hi: Viewcomb working great - just one minor thing can anytyhing be done about the sensitivity of the screen? The calibration in "shuffle tools" doesn't seem to make a differenc - thanks in advance for any tips!
After reading every post in this thread, I updated my Viewpad 10s to Viewcomb 6.3 yesterday. I must say I was very suprised! It made me really happy with this tablet Everything works great, I can download some apps that I was not able to with the original software (like twitter and facebook) and it look way better! I only had a minor issue this morning when I took it out of sleep, it was unable to use the internet, while the WiFi connection was active. I remember reading something similar in this topic, so I will go back and see if I can find it again This morning I just rebooted and everything was fine again
Thanks for all the great work!
When it's ready.hi leg
when you will launch the next build / next release??
thanks
here are a few apps out there that allow you to enable the wifi to never go to sleep when the screen switches itself off, I am using Blade Buddy, which is free, download and install, then open, goto basic settings-wifi sleep policy-and choose Never, this will solve the issue of having to reboot to get your wifi back on, however, it will drain your battery more, hope that helps, xd
Hi McHaggis
Thanks for your suggestion, but it does not work for me When I take my Viewpad out of sleep, WiFi will indeed be active, at least it tells me it is still connected. But it does not work. The WiFi indicator is grey instead of blue and while it is saying there is a connection with the WiFi network, it will not send nor receive data. When I disable WiFi I can not enable it again, and a reboot is needed to enable it again. I used BladBuddy in combination with Spare Parts, but as you can see it was unsuccessful. BTW I found that the setting for the sleep policy is also easily accessible in the HC WiFi settings
Any other suggestions?
Hi,
I too like rykrell have an over sensitive touchscreen and the Calibration screen doesn't help.
If I knew how to edit the Kernal I wouldn't be looking through here though. I'm reporting an issue, like a lot of others on here.
Regards
Rob
Hi all,
Count me too... I'm in love with Viewcomb (installed today), but I have the same problem about over sensitive touch screen. Sometimes a letter is repeated or, even worst and I don't know why, a random character added... I barely can press over an icon in the screen and drag it to the bin... generally the app starts or I "lost" the icon in the finger track... ;-)
And obviously I can't touch the kernel... I have a lot of years in IT (mainframes), but I'm absolutely newbie in the Android world...
I tried to calibrate the touchpad without changes...
Any ideas what can I try ?
Any way, GREAT WORK, Viwecomb is amazing and I discovered a new tablet in my hands, Im happy like a child with a new toy...!!!
Kind regards, y saludos desde Buenos Aires !!!
Javier.
i have mentioned this before, it works brillaint on mine, a viewpad 10s 3g, screen response is bang on, I have no idea whats going on, can you mention what model you have ?
Hi Mc,
Mine is 10s WiFi only.... not 3G...
I did the test using Vegacomb (9n "original" and update 3) and has the same problem... I think we have a little different hardware, maybe the panel, maybe the chip for touch...
Even with 2.2 the touch screen is very sensitive... but with 3.2 is terrible....
I found (using a touch test) the screen borders are almost fine, the problem increases when you approach to the inner area of the panel...
I'm going to be depressed if I can't use Viewcomb...!!! Grrrrrrrr....
Regards mate,
Javier.
