[ROM] ViewCOMB 3.2 - Honeycomb 3.2 for ViewPad 10s

I bought a Wi-Fi only version of Viewpad 10s but so far I'm very disappointed with the device. I'm also using an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy Gio on 2.3) and very happy with it. But this tablet is a complete disaster. It cannot open most of the applications, does not have Market access and Google services, also wtf is wrong with its G-sensor? When I try to play a game which uses g-sensor, I can play it with portrait orientation while the game displays landscape! It occasionally crashes for no reason, or lags so much that the device stops working at some point. I'm using the stock rom and will try to install a new rom tonight and I hope it helps otherwise I will be using the damn device as a plate.

Hi Liquidcat,

Try Viewcomb and you will discover a NEW tablet.... if you have issues with the touch screen using version 6 or later, then use version 5.1, works fine, just maybe with minor issues and a little slower.

I see your serial number starts with "SL...", mine with "SN...", maybe a newer series with a different (cheaper ?) touchpanel... :-S

Hi, I installed the latest version of Legionnaire´s Honeycomb 7.1 (tahnx, BTW), but I have problems with youtube videos or other stream videos. I installed Flash (adobe) from Market, sometimes video starts to play, but the whole application crash within a few seconds. Any advice, anyone?

Hey there.

I just bought the 3g + Wifi version as a Christmas present for my dad.
I tried to flash V7.1 but it does not seem to work.
Here is the Error message I get, maybe someone had the same issue and could help me :3. Thanks!

EDIT: Plugged it into a different USB Port and it works just fine now
EDIT2: Worked like a charm, until i tried rebooting. Now I get "Starting Fastboot USB download protocol". Maybe I'm lucky and a new version will be available before christmas

Hello Legionnaire, Thank you ver much for this amazing android version for my Viewpad 10s !* Everything is working great, i only came accros two issues:

- the Google browser keeps shutting down. Every time i try to browse websites the Google browser shuts down, i experience this issue with hotmail, facebook and other websites. I have tried to use Dolphin Browser but the Same thing happens. Now im using the Opera mini browser wich works fine but i rather use he Google android browser...*

- the other issue is that when i try to reboot the my viewpad it get s stuck at a black screen, with a small text 'fastboot USB starting ' or something like that... When that happens i have to reinstall*Viewcomb, loosing all my settings...

Is there something you can do about these issues? I reinstalled*Viewcomb*five times now... Also tried Adobe Flash, but it made games like Angry Birds unusable...* Thank in advance and greetings from Amsterdam, the Netherlands! Johan

Hi..i using viewpad 10s 3g, i have tried Vegacomb honey ice and Viewcomb custom rom... overall its good until when my screen becoming over sensitive and until not responsive at all... my solution... revert back to original froyo 2.2, then calibrate using calibrated tool included... then reinstall viewcomb 6.3... ( i've tried v7 and 7.1 but it will come to Fast boot... so using back 6.3 until its fix...) now my tablet becoming good again... hope will give an idea for whom having problem with your screen...

I want to know if he has info where to investigate the screen parameters...

Obviously I'm going to try 7.1, but I really doubt the issue is related to calibration, unless the tool can change deep values. I did some test and found the stock rom only detects TWO touches, but Viewcomb detects a THIRD touch, but then mess the coordinates for the previous two touches... starting in version 6, this issue is worst and seems the sustained touch is detected and released in a really fast cicle (detect, release, detect, release.... etc)... Looks like a kernel parameters issue.

if you use viewcomb build 6 RC 4, RC 5 - build 6.3 you can use BTFix from Vega comb, you can download here. install the file from recovery mode. If you use build 7.1 the bluetooth not working well for transfering data, but it can be to run the tool with the bluetooth like mouse, and pairing from the cell phone

I could just install 2.2 again, but after tasting some honey, froyo doesnt feel so yummy anymore

I think, you can installing build 6.3 because I think the build 6.3 is quite stable, if the bluetooth not worknig you can install BTFix vegacomb with recovery mode, and for GPS still no solution for fix the problem. happy flash for your VP10s

Same here I downloaded 7.1 and got the download protocol error and now I can't open the device. I don't have the cable with me here at work I'll try another version tonight but so far I'm severely disappointed with this device.
Also the browser doesn't work on 7.1, it constantly crashes and the applications also crash when changed orientation.
Legionnare, if we can provide logs to you I will, I need this **** fixed.
