After I read more posting in this thread, I found out that I have to use Shuttle Tools to calibrate the Touch. I would like to update that R7.1 shows the "start fastboot usb download protocol " and halted, I am using R6.3 now. The Facebook app that I downloaded from Market keeps showing the "hour glass" during logging in.

i back to running stock 2.2 firmware, how can i download apps when i dont have the market place. is there some way i can download the apps from pc and then copy to the player?

hi...i just bought viewpad 10s and straight away installed viewcomb 3.2 build 7.1. It works great (thx to legionairre) d 1st time...but i cant boot after restarting it...i got d famous "starting fastboot usb download protocol" bug. then i had to reinstall build 6.3 which is also great. i noticed that maybe d bug is caused when legionaire set USB HOST as default...coz previous release he set it to peripheral as default. i think when using build 7.1, before shut down, need to set d USB to peripheral 1st (from Shuttle program)..but i dont have d time to test it. To slybunda...u can install official android market by downloading market_update0.zip file from http://www.filedropper.com/marketupdate0_1. Put d file in your sdcard and update your stock rom through settings -> software update, and then browse to the zip file. Select the file and it will restart the device. And to Marcus...d latest Facebook app does not work on build 6.3...i used FB version 1.25 instead...or u can install maxthon or opera browser and login to FB as an alternative.

Hi Slybunda,

You can install Market in 2.2, just look for the GApps APK's...

In Android 2.2 you'll need Market version 1.x, can't remember if 2.x works.... 3.x wil not work...

If you download Apps APK's in PC, upload them to "Dropbox" to download later in the tablet... ;-)

Hello Legionnaire,

I have updated my Viewpad 10s with Build 6.3.
Now i would install Froyo 2.2

I can't install the USB Driver because Windows says "Windows cold not find driver software for your Device"
But i have install the driver right. And when i start the "P10_image_20110210_v1.09_vie" it says:
"USB device not foundPress enter to continue"

Can you help me please ????????????

ok i installed vendink.apk first then the marketupdater.apk. i got the market icon but when i click it, it doest work, it just looks like it tries to load somethink but then goes back to the desktop.?

a ) Have you added a Gmail account in the tablet ? If not, do it... you can install Gmail App to do this.

b ) Go to Settings, Applications, Manage Applications, in Market Updater and Market clear data and reboot the tablet.

In the first post, look for this paragraph... - :

Installation

First install USB driver for ViewPad 10s. Download driver: ViewPad 10s USB driver
Step-by-step instructions for driver installation: PDF
Open PDF file, go to the page 4, follow instructions from the step 1 to the step 8. Close PDF when you done step 8.

If you are sure you installed driver correctly, download file ViewCOMB 3.2 and double click on it. Wait few minutes to finish installation process, then turn on your tablet.

That's it! Very simple and easy.

And in the Device Manager is dont writing APX,
its stay : Unknow device.View attachment 5076 -->

ich hoffe meine Annahme ist korrekt das du aus einem Deutsch sprachigem Raum kommst, also schreib ich es mal fix in Deutsch.
Du musst nun auf das "Unknown Device" mit der Rechten Maustaste klicken und dort dann "Update Driver Software.." klicken, dann im nächsten Fenster (wie auch im PDF beschrieben) unten auf "Browse my Computer for driver software" klicken und den Ordner auswählen wo du die Treiber entpackt hast.
Dann einfach auf Next.
Wenn das Fenster kommt wo er dich fragt ob der Treiber installiert werden soll obwohl dieser nicht verifiziert ist, klickst du: "Install this driver software anyway" und danach dürfte dein "Unknown Device" zum "NVIDIA USB Boot-..." Gerät werden.

Du hast vermutlich bei der Treiber installation "Automatisch nach passenden Treibern suchen" gemacht.

Hoffe ich konnte dir helfen, sonst schreib mir nochmal eine PM.
