[ROM] ViewCOMB 3.2 - Honeycomb 3.2 for ViewPad 10s

Update: i stopped getting myself crazy with the Viewcomb Rom and tried to install Vegacomb (advent vega) Honeycomb 3.2. Vegacomb is PERFECT!!! The overall look and that of the market is just like the Galaxy Tab! There is no 'starting fastboot usb protocol' and Google Maps and browser are working like they supposed to! Really guys you should consider moving on to Vegacomb!

Legionnaire thank you for your efforts, too bad it didn't work out for me... But if it wasn't for you i was still stuck at Froyo...

Hi! I have installed the latest build 9n. But as you can see in the video, first you have to install Moddedstock V2... Here's a thread where you can everthing you need: [ROM] [3.2] Vegacomb 3.2 Build 9n - Update 3

Well, I don't know if this issue was brought up before or not but I did the reboot today and got the death screen; all black but with a "starting fastboot USB download protocol" up at the upper left hand corner and now it's stuck and I can't do anything to it. Anybody has a solution other than throwing the damn viewpad out my window from 10 floors up?

OK, I was finally able to reinstall 7.1 to my Viewpad 10s (After many unsuccessful attempts) so it's working again...for now. I know I won't reboot ever again although I'm really tempted to install 6.3 since almost everyone raves about it.

Do what I did, reinstall 7.1
Better yet, install the 6.3 version because that seems to be the more stable one according to some of the folks here.

When I upgraded my 10s to R7.1 earlier, it showed "starting fastboot usb download protocol" on the same day after several reboot during testing. After that I flashed it with R6.3, so far it is stable.

For the facebook app, I have found a solution: I managed to download and installed a Facebook 1.6.4 apk from the Internet and it is working now.

The next thing I plan to do is to borrow an Android rooted mobile from my friends and configure it following the Titamium Backup method to activate the Whatsapp pre-registration step and then later copy the folder onto my 10s. It feels like missing something if my 10s is not capable to Whatsapp with my friends, although there are many other alternatives (such as AIM, Yahoo and etc) to Whatsapp, but for whatever reasons, most of my friends are using Whatsapp.

Thanks for your information, btw last night i was working on version 6.3 of Viewcomb every thing working just fine, this morning just powered on the tablet and touche screen just don´t respond. I´m thinking of moving to vegacomb now and try my luck.

Btw does any one have a problem like mine? the thouch screen stop responding our get to slow!!!

I obviously had the usb driver working when I installed viewcomb on Monday (new tablet kids present) but if I try to plug the usb in now I get "Nvidia Fastboot Android device" in windows device manager.
If I run the viewcomb.exe it comes up with UnKnown device found Press enter to continue
I have tried going through the initial sequence of button presses (button2 then button1 release button 1 etc) and it just loads up with "starting fast boot..."
I really need a solution as I don't want to have to tell my 9 year old I bricked his tablet
If someone could talk me through this I would be eternally grateful.

Ich habe genauso gemacht, wie du es gesagt hast. Aber wenn ich denn Ort angebe, wo der Treiber liegt und dann auf weiter anklick, kommt bei mir diese Fehlermeldung:

Hello to reflash with other roms through Nvflash you need to have te power AC connected to your device only then it will detect and reflash.

Sorry I am not sure what you mean.
I currently have the tablet plugged in to AC power. I had the male to male usb cable connected to my lap top.
If I only have the AC plugged in where will the new rom flash from? I am trying to reload the ViewCOMB 3.2 Build 7.1 and only have the exe file on my lap top?
Do I need something else? And should I do it through the cable or on a usb stick? Sorry but I am pretty new to this..

Looks like it was just a matter of getting the button sequence right. When I did it originally I had to hold the pushes for a long time, I just tried flicking through it and it worked!
Flashing the ROM now.
