Btw, where in Nook Color Options is this?

Thanks again!

It is in Nook Color Tools somewhere. I don't run those tools anymore since I'm on Froyo and I can't remember. Just go into Nook Color Tools > Settings and go one by one down the list until you see "turn off screen while charging" or something to that effect.

Thanks Rico - any ideas about taking 1-2 minutes to load/get past the Touch the Future of Reading Screen?

I tried booting w/o the SD, in case it was trying to read/load something, no effect. Tried it a few more times.

But at least it was able to last overnight and still function...

I'll have to time it but a boot up of 1-2 minutes is a little long but doesn't sound unreasonable.

Well 1-2 minutes just to get past "touch the future..." is too long.

So get me up to date b/c people problems are starting to run together lol:
-you removed your sd card with installed CWR?
-you have rom manger installed?
-You are on what software now?

It sounds like somewhere down the line from using the sd CWR, you messed up your boot so the boot sequence is having to fix to system or boot mount in it it's procedure each time you boot which is why you are taking a long time to boot past "touch the future".

It may be time for you to head down the road of using sd CWR to reflash your internal memory back to stock:

http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...ll-clockwork-recovery-revert-stock-image.html

Since you have a sd bootable CWR, I believe you download the proper stock image and start here.
The Stock image of your choice found here: (You don’t need both)1. Download v.1.0.0 file here.
Size: 166.0 MB, md5sum: c3e151a55e6f21061570d57d6caa5746

2. Download v.1.0.1 file here.

***Make sure your Nook Color is turned off***

Insert the SD card into your Nook Color and turn it on.
This will take you to the familiar Clockwork Recovery interface (which is running from your SD card, not internal memory)

Our first task will be to format the /system and /data folders (which will wipe out your rooting and anything you have installed on the Nook (the same as 8 failed attempts and PWR+N key for a factory reset)

1. Scroll down the mounts and storage option in Clockwork
2. Select format /system, verify that you want to do this
3. When complete, select format /data and verify yes

You have now wiped out the internal memory (rebooting your NC now will give you an error message)
Now we want to flash the zipped stock file.

So this is what I did prior:

Stock 1.0.1
-Autonooted 2.12.25
-Installed Rom Manager, Flashed CWR "Nook (Old)"
-Rebooted
-Let it load (only took 10 seconds for Touch the Future...)
-Then Reboot to CWR
-Sideloaded Decad3nce's Nook Color V1.1.0_r2 ROM from there (without wiping anything per his instructions)
-Let it load (only took 10 second for Touch the Future...)
-Then off to Rom Manager, Reboot to CWR
-Wiped Cache, Wiped Dalvik (w/ no problems/freezing this time)
-Installed update-eclair-dalingrin-OC-emmc-22311.zip

Boots fine, SetCPU 1.1/600. Works fine initially, booted it on and off a few times. Then let it sit for a few hours. Tried to turn it on and it gets stuck for 1-2 minutes on Touch the Future.

Apps I have added after overclocking:

Dolphin HD
NinjaJump (or whatever it's called)
Titanium Backup
AstroManager
SetCPU
Adobe Reader
Go Launcher EX
AppBrain
Angry Birds Season
Epocrates
Google Maps
Yelp
Zillow

Does it get stuck after installing the kernel? It takes a bit after wiping the caches for it to load up after installing a kernel.

I could use some help. I got stuck in CWM boot loop like everyone else who rooted version 1.1.0 using autonooter 3.0. Lesson #1 - read comments in thread before installing something new dummy! After trying a couple different ideas and wasting too much time, I found Darmeen's zip file and got it unstuck - THANK YOU! Now I'm left with Nook still rooted (Superuser app still present) in version 1.1.0, but without all the apps I'd previously installed. And I can't access market because I get stuck in LogicPD Zoom2 setup loop. I tried flashing back to a clean stock ROM with the 8 interrupted boots procedure, but this has never worked for me. If I try this with Nook unplugged, I can continue to interrupt boots forever, but it never reflashes its system partition. I've never been able to get ADB to recognize my Nook through USB connection - Vista insists on installing its own drivers, no matter what changes I make in Device Mgr. I used to use ADB Wireless, but that disappeared with all my other apps.

Would appreciate any suggestions on how to solve this. I'd like to go back to stock (either version 1.0.0 or 1.0.1) and then start over rooting so I can avoid using autonooter 3.0.

Appreciate any suggestions this group has for me.

Mark

^You should have just uninstalled CWR.

I encourage all if you don't know what you are doing, ask before make attempts to fix you Nook.

You need to do the 8 interrupts properly and start all over. Key, hold power button just enough to turn the NC on (no more), then wait until it goes passed "touch the future..", then hold power until the NC turns off.

Hey Mark...IF you can't get the 8 failed attempts done correctly, go through the entire instructions for my thread on removing CWR and reverting to stock...make sure to follow each step
(the link is in my signature)

If you had just done the remove CWR, then it shouldn't boot into the LogicPD, so something went wrong.

Thanks. I finally got the 8 failed attempts to work and reset to stock. Unfortunately, Nook immediately updated to version 1.1.0 which I did not want to do. But at least now I'm back to stock setup that I can start over with. Any suggestions on rooting procedure starting from version 1.1.0. I'm not sure I want to use autonooter 3.0 again.

I suspect the loss of apps and other issues I experienced were caused by me trying a number of suggestions I read in various parts of this thread last night before finding Darmeen's zip file. Lesson #2 learned - don't do things in a panic. Read and understand before you start pushing buttons!

Mark

You need to erase and deregister>reregister before you root again. You will prolly have to autonooter it with 3 again if you are on 1.1. I would try rolling it back again with 8 interrupts and make sure your internet router is off.

Have you tried recovery booting into CWR (hold down n and power key)?

@ darmeen and stelv - well, I don't get stuck anywhere in terms of installation. Everything works, just takes 1-2 minutes to get past the Touch the Future of Reading screen now before a proper boot...

There is still something wrong with this. It shouldn't take that long...it might be the OC kernel you are using. You might want to revert back to stock kernel (800Mhz) and use one of the OC kernel's like kernel-1100mhz-omap3630 mentioned at the beginning of this thread.
