Thanks for the tip with Titanium Backup!
But how can I root the I600 tablet? Is there any howto available?

I'm going to upload the file to Rapidshare later today ;)

ShowChina told me, that the new firmware will reduce/remove some cooling problems by improving the chip performance, cause the device gets hot, if you are working intesive.

Glad to see you got your kinpad back.

I used superoneclick here is a link, read the entire post first!

I'm not sure, but it looks like my tablet has performed a automatically self-update to the newest firmware.
I got a new unlock screen, but all data and apps are still there...
In addition it displays the newest Kernel Version: M.EI6010101.FK18.V2.8

This is the same version on my kinpad and haven't updated since the last announcement?

I do not believe that it auto updates. The tablet will notify you when a new update is available.

I found a neat little app that works great on the kinpad if you want to connect to an Android shares folder via a windows PC to copy files. The app is called Samba. You just install the app set a username and password go to internet explorer and in the URL box type \\android enter your username and password and wala! copy file via your network. Pretty cool, now there is no need for files transfer via slow bluetooth.

Great app, I myself use ES File Explorer to browse my network shares. Sharing a folder my phone is a bit too risky for me. :)

It disables when you are finished copying the app only stays active when you need it.

No problem. I use it to backup apps as well. I backup apps and install them on my other tab because I can't get Market working.

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has run any benchmarks and have compared their kinpads to other tablets. I've been using the Quadrant benchmark and when and if it manages to finish the results are low (500). Sometimes the test doesn't complete with freezing on the h264 test. It might have to do with running my kinpad only on 3g.

Just wondering.

Thanks

ADDITION: just ran Quadrant again and got 921 which I think is still low for this processor.
