Kinpad I600 7" Capacitive, Phone 3G GPS Wifi HDMI 2.2

Could somebody please upload the 04.29 FW somewhere, my download from that ftp-server keeps quitting and it's SUPER slow. Thanks :)

I guess it doesnt pay to loose my temper. Everything is working correctly. I was using that cheezy file explorer, root explorer shows the correct space. As far as my signal go's .......I get great signal everywhere but my house.

I also got a little dissolusioned with the kinpad but we've had a long weekend here in uk and i've been using it quite a bit and getting to REALLY like it.

Thank you so much :)

Any obvious improvements in that fw?
Just loaded it but can't see anything obvious. Auto-zooming appears to be better in that it zooms when I click on a sign-in button (not sure if it did this before)?

Cheers

Gentlemen,

After a long discussion, many updates and trials, could you please make a comment that if this device could be used instead of expensive Samsung GalaxyTab on price and functionality aspects?

Your comments are highly appricated for the users who are planning to spend money on Kinpad.

The kinpad is an awsome device there is really no downside to the unit. I was getting fussy in an earlier post but to my error, the functionality is great I have been using it as a replacement for my phone for two months now. The software updates are very easy. The unit is not cheaply made, for the prices on the kinpad you cant go wrong. Also if you want 3G data your stuck with AT&T unless you have a different GSM carrier in your area. I am pleased with the kinpad I won't go back to a smaller device, I did have to get used to carrying a 7 inch device but with bluetooth it makes life earlier.

Regards,

I love my Kinpad. Very very well made. Right up there with the big names. They pack alot into a little package which adds to the weight but not enough to have a really big impact. The screen resolution is good but doesn't have the wow factor of a Samsung tab. I find the phone and 3g to be good. I walked a round a shopping mall and downloaded the latest firmware while the kinpad was in my pocket. I also use it to stream internet radio to my car.

I think the firmware is fairly complete with regular updates. Though the tablet was easy to root, if you like to mess around with different firmware this is not the devce for you because the of the small user / developer base. So no overclocking or custom roms. But if you're looking for a tablet that just works with no need to mess around then the kinpad is for you.

Since my entire house has n wifi it would be nice if the kinpad also offered n as well.

The speed is good, not Tegra 2 good, but no problems watching video or flash online. I'm not sure about action games.

In the end I have no regrets buying the kinpad. Would I buy one now? Depends.

If you are looking for a 7" tablet with all the features of the kinpad and you wanted it right now then yes. If you are just looking for a good tablet just to mess around with then I would buy a viewsonic gtab and install one of the many custom roms. You'd get Tegra 2 for about 300 dollars.

If you had the patience to wait I would because I think there are a lot of interesting tablets coming down the line and dual core would be nice.

If you

Hi,

I like to listen to internet radio over my 3g cconnection

Does anyone know how I can turn off my screen and not loose my 3g connection. Now I have to keep the screen on which just eats up the battery.
