Well... it appears that our little problem (i.e., boot loop with CWR-SD) is related to 1.1 rather than phiremod beta 2. Linky [pages 17 and up have the same issue that we experienced].
The next time I'm putting a custom ROM, I'll revert back to 1.0.1 via the good old "8-failed-boots" method and go from there with the bootable CWR card. Let's see if that makes a difference.
Just added dalingrin's 1100 mHz kernel. Wow - that really makes browsing a lot faster. I'm really impressed by what this ROM and kernel combination can do on the Nook.

Has anyone been able to get this ROM working coming from 1.1 instead of having to revert back to 1.0.1. No big deal, just trying to save a step
Hey All,
Got some noobish questions for yall
1. I've installed 1.1 ghz omap oc onto vanilla rooted nc 1.1.0 w/autonooter 3.0 (courtesy of rico 2001); will have to reinstall this kernel if I install phiremod nook beta 2 ROM if I want my nc to stay oc?
2. Will I have to reinstall all my previously installed apps from the market?
3. Do I have to load phiremod every time i boot from an SD card, or is it just internally stored?
Thanks in advance
I'm not an expert, but I did give Phiremod Beta2 a try last week. That said:
1) Yes, I'm pretty sure you will need to do this. I also think you should do this to take advantage of the extra speed. I think that Kernel is also set up to run at 75% voltage compared to stock, so if you pair it with SetCPU (which is a must buy if you have not already bought it) you can extend your battery life.
2) Yes. Read up on Ti Backup (this is also a must have for various reasons). You can use this to back up your apps and then reinstall them after you switch roms. I have not figured out how to do this yet, but I don't have that many apps. I just redownload and install them. Don't worry if you've purchased apps. They will show up in the Market as purchased and availble for download at no additional cost if you sign in with the same gmail ID.
3) Nope. It just loads up as if it was installed on your internal memmory. If you take the SD card you will boot back up in your rooted 1.1.
I think the above is all correct.
That said, I decided to give Nookie Froyo 0.6.8 a try and I like it more than Beta2. Just seems to run a little faster and my WiFi works better. YMMV. The same rules apply for going to Nookie Froyo if you decided to go that route instead.
