Trying to Identify Kernel, Possible Overclocking Possibilities for DM7022 Radio

Hey guys i have a ES777A and im having an issue with it,When the screen times out or i push the power button to shut the screen off or for it to time out the screen turns white and just stays on that way, im wondering if someone knows how i can fix this issue everything else works fine, the tablet is also rooted any help with this issue will be greatly appreciated,Thanks guys.

Is you display output set to hdmi or lcd? Default is hdmi and i set mine to lcd for youtube to work. I also disabled screen and wifi timeout with switch pro and spare parts cause i want the screen and wifi to stand on for internet radio.

I've tried both ways switching from hdmi to lcd mode screen will not time out and fade to black, still goes to all white screen instead of sleep or timeout mode,is their a setting somewhere that i can access to change this and i dont want the screen to stay on always either somethings definately messed up im just hoping someone can help me to fix it without having to ship it back clear across the world and paying a fortune to do it,oh i have also factory reset the device, unrooted and rerooted the ES777A with no change in the white screen timeout issue.

Hi all,

I was tired of my slow ES666 pad at the point that I was not using it anymore. So last week, I ordered a ES777 pad only at Erisin(dot)com, and received it in a week. I just opened it, and wow, it is lightning fast compared to the previous version. Will play more with it tonight.

Hi Pierre,

I dont think you will regret it, mine was a massive improvemnt on the stock ES666 mind you the stock ES666 was to say the least at little under powered & unfinished in my opinion.
With yours & other forum members help most of the niggles were ironed out but it was too slow to run my favorite app (Slingplayer) properly.
If I hadn't dropped & broke the tablet I would of just put up with it, so in a way the accident did me a favour ! I use mine every day & enjoy doing so, its a big step up.
I hope you enjoy it & thank you for your help in the past.

When I was asking about the firmware and logos, I was reffering to the posts made last month that russian modders were posting about. Did anyone try those?

Can someone with a ES777 (DM7033) tel me what is the specification of the wall charger? I received my ES777 upgrade pad today, but they forget to include the wall charger. When I try to use my ES666 wall charger, the red charging led just flash, and the pad just abruptly shutdown if it is on.

Model HW222S
Input 100-240Vac 50/60Hz
Output 5Vdc 2000ma.

Thanks guys.

Crazy. From ES666 to ES777, charging voltage provided by the head unit went from 5V to 9V, and wall charger from 9V to 5V.

Hi Guys,

I've been experimenting with memory & the ES777, so far ive used a 32gb micro sd in the tablet with no problems but it wont read a 64gb micro sd card. the main unit wont read the 64gb micro sd card. Ive tried usb hard drives in the usb input (320 & 640 gb) but neither would work. Has anyone tried a large usb stick in the main unit input ? if so what results have you had ?

Hi to everyone here.
Just finished reading this entire thread, bit of a marathon!
I need some help please.
I'm trying to root my mates ES777A to replace the Framework.jar with the GPS speed fixed version. - Thanks TDI_Vortex!
The problem I'm having is that I can't get my computer to recognize the pad at all. When I plug in the USB, it does nothing at all.
I have the VTC drivers, PDANet and FWDN, none of which have made any difference.
When running SuperOneClick and checking drivers, or even clicking the root button, is just freezes. Not responding.
If I boot into FWDN the computer does see something, but it does not seem to help me at all.
I'm fairly new to android. I have been running custom roms/ modems and kernels on my Galaxy SII for almost 12 months, but that is childs play, the devs (and Samsung) make it all to easy.

Cheers

Hi Tom,

Welcome to the thread & the forum, if you think this a marathon you should try reading the Russian thread using Google translate !
When I rooted mine I couldnt get anywhere trying to use my Win XP computer so I tried it on my wifes Win 7 computer & it worked first time with superoneclick if i remember right, so it might worth trying a different computer.
Good luck & let us know how you get on.

Thanks Mark

I have had a quick look at the Russian thread, seems to be lots of good info. The trick is finding it! I may have to start reading that one for real if I still can't get it to work.

I am using win7 64bit with no luck.
I have also tried an old win XP laptop. It actually did recognize the pad after about 1 - 1 1/2 hours of trying everything I could think of bur it still hung on SuperOneClick and Z4Root.
I will try another, never know that may just do it.
It will have to wait a week or so now as my friend has gone on a bit of a trip. Funny enough he wanted his pad back! Battery flat and all.

When I get it back, I'll try it on a few different machines and report back.

The actual dimension of the power connector to the ES666/777 pad is 2.5/0.7mm.

I emailed Erisin about the missing charger, and they apologized. They are sending me one free of charge, and offered me a discount on my next purchase.

Language barrier is sometimes frustrating, but IMO, they are (most of them) honest and have a sense of honor.
