Trying to Identify Kernel, Possible Overclocking Possibilities for DM7022 Radio

Hi all,

This thread has helped me a lot in understanding this device.
I bought it after reading on this thread and the Russian website referred.

After a few weeks (2-3 I think), the unit is quite impressive and the possibilities of Android is endless!

Long story short, last night I managed to break something and whenever I turn to the HU, the screen just goes white, with a feint line across horizontally right in the center...
The funny thing is that I can still change mode using the HU buttons with the tablet detached, the sound works, the buttons works, even the TV, backup camera, Aux works.
The white screen seems to come out when it is in BT and radio mode.

Has anyone had this problem before?

Contacted Erisin and Joanna said that it is due to a fault in the front panel that connects the tablet to the HU.

She said no soldering required but then I decide to open up the unit and this is what I see...

So I asked them to send me this entire piece (I dont know how to solder such small and delicate pieces of electronics), no response yet...

I want to find out if there are any fellow members that has the same issue and did this resolve it?

Welcome to the thread,

I have found erisin very good in their response to my enquires & issues, not perfect but when you take the problems of time differance & language into account, very good ! They have been helpful though comunication is hard & iv'e found much easier when I attach photos to any emails I send them.

With regards to your white screen issue , sometimes when I recieve a incoming call on my phone coupled to my ES777/DM7033 via bluetooth I get a white screen like you get however if i press the "pad" button it clears.
I hope you get your issue sorted, but leave nothing to chance when communicating with them, if you want to resolve this first time round.

hey TDI_VOTEX and satellitemark just wanted to update y'all on my gps issues, Errisin sent me a replacement antenna and all is good now, a friend of mine said it looks like the amp in the antenna died, thats why it could see the sats but couldn't get a lock... also I have another question about the clock on the main unit, does anyone else have a problem with how it shows am/pm time... i can set it to say 7PM and it will stay that way for awhile then change to 1900PM for no reason, its just agravating...lol

Thanks for the update, hopefully it will put steve's mind at rest over dealing with erisin. Glad to hear your sorted, now you can enjoy the unit's full functions, I dont know about your clock issue as I never use mine without the pad in place but I'll have a look at mine tomorrow & report back if I learn anything of use to you.

Just found out my sound is gone as well...
The supplier now wants me to send it back to them for inspection and then they will send it back to me...
The shipping is probably gonna cost close to a new unit
They offered 245 so I took the deal (shipping is 55 included)

I feel your pain. When I sent mine back FedEx wanted $198 USD....

I found the USPS to be much cheaper @ $65 and only a few days slower...

Hello all!
There is the good news from Russia. One of DM7033 owners could made CWM Recovery 5.0.2.7 for DM7033.

Now we have two version of recovery.
v1: nand mounts as "sdcard", sdcsrd mounts as " /sdcard/tflash"
when you make backup from recovery - backup files will be placed to nand
v2: nand mounts as "sdcard", sdcard mounts as "/emcc"
you can make backup to nand or to sd

How to install:
1. put cwm5_hawst.img to sdcard (for example /sdcard/tflash/cwm5_hawst.img)
2. run cmd.exe

adb shell
dd if=/sdcard/tflash/cwm5_hawst.img of=/dev/block/mtdblock7
sync
exit

3. exit from cmd
4. turn off device
5. turn it on with pressed "back" button to enter recovery

To those who only upgraded to ES777A tablet and keep there ES666A head unit, how does the ES777A tablet react to the 5 volts supply provided by the ES666A head unit?

Just to go over the language barrier, what was the exact email phrasing you used to order only the ES777A tablet and wall charger.

Hello all--

Im new to the es777a and have a tough issue. I got impatient with the tablet constantly resetting after a couple of days of using this, so I decided to try the factory reset. Every since then, my tablet will freeze up and go into a "dark" mode (only a couple small icons showing on the top of the screen) and will require another reset -- It appears to be some type of a timing setting or something, because after each reset, it will allow approximatly 3 minutes of use before it goes into this mode..any suggestions?? Very frustrating indeed.

I used the new pad with the old base for a couple of days, I dont remember any problems, I was very expicit in my request but my first two emails resulted in replys trying to sell me a whole new unit, in the end I said that there was no way as I only needed the pad & was offered £158 (I think)for the replacement pad which I agreed to & paid.
I think I posted the contact details earlier in the thread, if not let me know & I'll find it for you.

Thanks for that, I have not suffered from wifi or reset problems on either my ES666 or ES777 , are they common faults suffered by many others on the Russian forum ?

It says I need to mount sd card before it will work -- When I try to mount the sd card, it says must mount the nand , and it wont let me mount the nand -- Im stuck!
