Trying to Identify Kernel, Possible Overclocking Possibilities for DM7022 Radio

Hi Guys

I found this which confirms that the DM7033 pad will work with a DM7022 base unit, the pad is available but costs $250 delivered to the UK, to say I'm pissed off with this price point is a understatement. especially when I can get a complete DM7033 (main unit & pad) for £270 !

Its bad enough that they sold the DM7022 which has more than a few probs out of the box, but to screw us again when forced to update is more than a little annoying !

Hi Guys,

Welcome to kif90 from another newbie, I have sent a PM to TDI_Votex who made the modified files & asked if he would repost the modified framwork.jar files for us in this thread, (I also need them !)

So far I have deleted eoe market / global time / google talk & storage / sound recorder / talk from my pad in my quest to speed up my pad & get it to run my Slingplayer app, at this stage I can run the slingplayer but its not smooth & if I want to change channel it grinds to a halt for about & min, then resumes. Im making progress but its very slow.

I've now been offered a DM7033 pad for £130 but if I can avoid paying out then of course thats preferable !

Welcome to the forum & thread.

The best deal that i've seen is on ebay (Item number: 230721129384) for £270 UK stock so no customs tax or long wait ! Its a lot less than my wife paid for the older version (& she got stung a extra £30 import tax) the listing on ebay is due to expire today, but no doubt it will be relisted.

I need to check if this will fit into my car - double din is a bit of a hit and miss with the BMW E39. Alternate option is to go for something like this:-

Android Tablet In-Car Sliding Dock using hacked DVD drive
Dont need the depth then but certainly its an option. Its cheaper too - tablet only basically.

Despite the ebay listing saying they are closed until the 30th, on their own website in hong kong they state the UK depot is working as usual & wont be affected by the holliday.

Thanks. The problem I have with the unit is that I may need to cut the airbox to make it fit - the Double Din adapators are also expensive for my car. Sadly on the BMW E39 double din is not that simple ...
