Hi Mark, complete LCD screen assy with digitizer is only ~ $10 more expensive than spare digitizer. You can purchase it from erisin.com.

If you want to repair existing LCD screen, you need to separate plastic protective cover, broken digitizer and LCD panel. It is not easy to do. I think it is better to let professional technician do it. Normally they use very sharp knife and sometimes heater to soften the glue. And at the end new screen will be thicker because you can`t remove one plastic layer of the broken digitizer as it is glued to the front plastic panel on whole surface.

Another thing is digitizer pinout. It has only 4-wire cable, but pinout of the cable may be different and you may need to cut piece of old cable and solder it to the new one with right order of wires.

Hi Mark,

Have a look on the datacable of your existing LCD screen. You will find paper label with model number and see if replacement panel is the same. But i think this set is not what you need because you have to to replace only broken digitizer, am i right? By purchasing this set you pay for unneeded part plus still have to do a lot of work to peel off protective plastic and glue it to the new screen assy. I think better order digitizer only, it should be around $10, if you prepared to replace it yourself. Digitizer on the picture looks VERY similar to standard one, however pinout may be different.

Concerning Erisin, yes, i have received price of the complete screen assy from them. Just sent them enquiry email from the website. I will order spare panel assy from Erisin in next month just to have one spare panel. It is too easy to destroy the screen on such heavy tablet.

Hello Mark. Yes. Arrived in 4 days. Works very quickly. The screen is better. In Market opens my everything. I installed many applications, IGO, Navitel, running perfectly. The speed is correct. I encourage all those with 7022 changing to 7033.

I'm glad to hear that & I totally agree, it is a vast improvement !

I'm trying to fix my old DM7022 unit now as with the help of this forum I was just getting it to work properly when I dropped it !
I'm really pleased with the unit, I will post about how I get on with the DVB-T conversion when I do it, which may be of interest to you as Bulgaria will go fully digital in the near future.

Hi all,

So far Erisin have offered me a screen unit for £45 delivered to the UK, Winmark have not replied yet, & the Ebay people are not understanding my request for the number printed on the screen ribbon cable !
While £45 is not dirt cheap, I,m concerned that fed ex will stick £35 duty charge on it, which would make it bloody expensive !, the ebay people post normal mail which is less likely to attract tax charges but is not trackable or secure, decisions ,decisions !

Hi All,
I'm on holiday in Ireland and having a great time! Well that was until my PAD crashed and wont boot now. I'd run the recovery reset but as some of you know my recover partition is dead after a screw up with clockwork recovery.

So my question is has anybody got a recovery partition I can push on to the ES777A device or know a way I can force a recovery via fastboot or fwdn mode?

I'm desperate as it’s my main sat nav for the rest of the week. So any help is appreciated.

OK, in my panic I'd forgot I’ve been down this road before...

Connecting via fastboot and issuing Fastboot.exe -w to delete all user data and
cache files. Allowed me to restore the tablet to a point that it now boots. So it just a case of re-installing all the apps etc. Thankfully I’d just taken a titanium backup

c:\Android>fastboot.exe -w

erasing 'userdata'... OKAY [ 1.051s]

erasing 'cache'... OKAY [ 0.129s]



So when all else fails and you can’t run a recovery for some reason don’t
forget "fastboot.exe -w" is your friend. Well it was in my case.

I'd still like to get a replacement recovery partition if anybody can help.

So, with Sat Nav & My Music back, its back to the Guinness for me... know that I’ll now be able to navigate home despite the hangover

When i switch from the pad to it, the screen fades to white. Touching the screen seems to be working and allows menu modification but doing this on a blank screen is very uneasy.
If somebody has a solution, i would very gratefull.

Hi Ellolo,

Welcome to the thread, First thing I would do is check the contacts interface between the pad & the main unit for damage etc, two rows of brass contacts on the front of the main unit at the bottom & matchng circuit board contacts exposed on the rear of the pad. if that dosent work remove the iso connector block on the back of the main unit, this will disconnect perm live & acc live & enable the main unit to reset, give it a min or two then reconnect, boot up & then try the screen.
