Some of the information is hardcoded I think, because when I reloaded the second time my phone contacts and the files I copied were still in the internal flash. Im just playing it safe because of my limited knowledge on the android core os files.

What did you do about the raised buttons? i'm looking for more of a thick rubber / silicon skin than a case. I have a case for my Zpad and I find that it really adds to the bulkiness.

I was able to play movies at 720p. The files were at least 2Gb a peace and the extensions were Mkv and Mp4. Both had really crisp color and picture and good sound. I havent had issues playing video pictures or music at this point.

I am unsure about one issue Im having it only seems to happen randomly when Im at home. My cell signal is low I only have one bar or two at my home using AT&T. I pickup to answer and I hear loud pitched static noise almost sounds like a nasty static fax tone so I hang up and seconds later the person called me back I answered and the same loud noise blares out, so I ended up rebooting and the issue is gone. This is the second time this happend to me. I have not used the device long enough to determine if this happends with a strong signal. Could this be feedback from the speaker? If anyoneone else has this issue please let me know.

The screen protection fits just the size of the actual screen. It doesn't cover the dark black ring around the screen. Another thing before you put your screen protection on the unit make sure you clean the screen really good one tiny little hair or peace of dust will cause bubbles to form under the screen protection and its quite ugly especially when light reflects off of it. I cleaned the screen with a pre-soaked lcd cleaner used a blow dryer to blow off any remaining dust, inspected the screen for dust then carefully pinched the lower corner of the protection and applied the protection to the unit slowly lowering the protection left to right.

The version is a bit more stable but its still buggy. Mine will shut down by itself at random on a full charge or plugged in. I have lost sound completly and had to reboot to get the sound working again. I have not heard the screeching noise out of the phone lately after the firmware update but clearly the device needs some more updates.

I’ve installed the latest update but still no sound on 1080p MKV files which I downloaded here (the free Preview ones - Divx plays fine just the quality's not as good as 1080p):

I’d be very grateful if someone could see if the above 1080p file plays sound on their Kinpad?

No sound on 1080p MKV playback is the only thing bothering me currently.
