Kinpad I600 7" Capacitive, Phone 3G GPS Wifi HDMI 2.2

This is more on the lines of what I was talking about. And I am aware of voltage differences. These look promising in my opinion. Better than having a big european power source plugged into a usa adapter plugged into a usb to 56 pin cable. Too many connection points in my current setup. Only Apple would try to standardize a crappy power to usb setup like this. God I hate Apple.

Here here!

A friend of mine's daughter was told that her iPhone had suffered water damage so was out of warranty and would cost $230 to repair. She talked to her mother (an attorney) who phoned the store and said her daughter would like them to open the device and show that all three water sensors had been activated, without even doing this they offered her a new phone there and then!

Also from this I discovered that the iPhone has it's own unique sim.

And they say Apple is all about customer service - daylight robbery more like!

The kinpad seems to be using a brut version of google maps so the newest version of google maps on the market will not update or install so dont bother tring to get street view because the current version on the kinpad will crash. So I think that is another issue with the current firmware.

Tried it with default player, M-Player and RockPlayer (Galaxy S version), none of which worked.

Thanks

That mkv file your tring to play is not optimzed for an 800Mhz processor. I have been able to play the file with many different types of player but one player from the next will not play the file correctly when audio is playing the player kills the resolution or has choppy play back. And when the audio is not playing the resolution is perfect. Either use a different website or use a different format.

I haven't been able to update mine yet. Is everyone seeing the same problems? I haven't heard back from Jacky so well see if a new update comes out next month.

We arent receiving enough feedback from other forum members to determine if the issues are the same for everyone. I know for sure that the google maps issue is specific to the software included with the swan file. so Im assuming that every unit with the current version will not install or update google maps.

You have to have cellular data enabled and gps enabled you have to be outside standing in one place and it could take upwards 3 to five minutes to detect the satellite positions. If you want to run a test download a program from the market called GPS STATUS & TOOLBOX. You have to wait on the satellite positions and have a clear view of the open sky. It 'will not' work if you are indoors the signal is already weak so running AGPS inside will only frustrate you. Thank HP for AGPS crap, but if you are near buildings cityscape can reflect the RF frequency of satellites causing a time & accuracy problem so that is the reason the chip designers incorporated the "assisted" data in aGPS for low power devices like cell phones . I do not understand why it takes so long for the positions considering aGPS should only take 1 second to obtain TTFF (Time To First Fix) data.

I was wrong I took this reading from inside my livingroom. It maybe because I obtained [ TTFF ] outside first.

And again INSIDE with "Navigation" app that came with the kinpad and it is BALLS ON ACCURATE!

Hope this helps....

Thanks for the post. I can't wait to try it when I get back. Would you consider uninstalling the navigation app that came with the update file and installing the one from the market for the latest?

Thanks very much - Any recommendations on websites that will work in UK?

I dont really watch on my tablet but this place looks good let me know if it works out for you. They have different memberships just go with the $29.00 membership via PayPal for protection and try it out, it says it works with tablets, its cheap and unlimited download for 3 months you cant really beat that for 29 bucks. I do not know what movies they are offering you may need to email them first with questions.

Movie Downloads

Ive already tried that but the install fails from the market . It has something to do with the brut version that is installed with the swan.

Im in the process of building a new ringtone and confirmation sound library for my kinpad. I only like a couple of the kinpad sounds and the kinpad ringer tones will not loop. Hopefully I can software convert the new files to get the sounds in the ogg format and loop them. Im not a real big fan of music tones, especially hip hop rap tones, it seems like everyone and their mother has the annoying distasteful music ringtones. I mean who the hell is going to use a salsa hip hop grunge ringtone. I find technology / scifi sounds to be way nicer and they get the intended point across. Phone/sms/text/email. And it also defrenchiates my device from the next guys I had a ringer on my old phone that if any other phone would ring I would be digging in my pocket looking for my cell.:confused::confused::confused::)

I don't know how you do it but it simply doesn't work with my kinpad. I've been sitting under a clear sky for at least 30 minutes, not a single satellite will ever show up :(

Double check your settings .....3g data enabled, gps enabled, use wireless networks enabled, use GPS satellites enabled, background data enabled. Have you tried the free app gps status & toolbox with all of these settings enabled?
