Kinpad I600 7" Capacitive, Phone 3G GPS Wifi HDMI 2.2

I put my confirmation tones in this morning now I have almost 50 custimized tones I can choose from...........works great.

Ringing only once solved:D

In OGG files I've found that there's an extra meta tag called ANDROID_LOOP which is set to 'true'. The Digital Phone ringtone doesn't have this tag, while others like the Classic Phone does (hence why the Classic ringtone repeats for incoming calls).

Here's what I did to fix this:

- Download and install Audacity 1.3.4 (http://www.oldapps.com/Audacity.php?old_audacity=23#Download)
- Open the ringtone file in Audacity, note you can use mp3/wav files as well, Audacity can convert them into OGG.
- Select Open Metadata Editor for the File Menu
- Add a new tag called ANDROID_LOOP and set the value to 'true'. (See screenshot here: http://g-sel.com/meta_editor.jpg
- Click OK
- Select Export from the File Menu and select the Save As Type format as Ogg Vorbis Files.
- Click OK through File Save and Metadata dialogue window.
- Copy the new ringtone file onto your phone and enjoy :)

You can also copy the new file over the existing one as well:

The kinpad still has random crashing when wifi is enabled for long periods. I hope this issue gets fixed on the next swan release. The unit will go to black screen as if the power feature is turning the screen off and when I press the red button the unit does not respond. I have to hold the red button in for five seconds the release then press the red button again until I feel vibe and let the system boot as normal. Is anyone else having this issue? The problem seems to go away when I turn off wifi. It gets pretty irritating when I set it to the side pick it it up 20 minuites later and learn the darn thing is gone dead on me again.:mad::mad:

It might be possible that Kinpad is syncing data in the background and that is taking up a lot of the CPU cycles. Next time it happens try to wait before resetting it to see if it will come back on its own.

Ill try that thanks for the suggestion. This question isnt real important but is there a way to stop a ringtone after "X" amount plays using meta tags in the .ogg file .

Is anyone else seeing the auto rotation stop working? Every once in a while it will get stuck in a landscape mode and won't rotate. A reboot fixes it.

My internal flash got corrupted again today. This is the third or fourth time. I had to format and do a factory reset. When I get home I think I'm going to take it apart to see if it is a replaceable card.

Can you post a step by step tutorial on how you did this? I would truly like to learn that way if I ever have that issue I can perform the format reload. Thanks in advance.

Yes I'd like to know how to do a factory reset too please.

Here you go:

I will add some screenshots when I get home which should hopefully be soon. My internal flash is getting messed up too often, so I will try to dissect it when I get home. Hopefully its a flash card that I can replace with something better.

...when I put my kinpad FLAT on a table, the "pinch and zoom" isn't working correctly. As soon as I touch the metal part of the the frame, it's WORKING again. Check it out:

Is that just MY kinpad or is anybody else having this problem?

Have you tried that test within other programs. Maybe when you touch the outer ring it completes a circuit.

Yes, it's always like that

Looks like it. I was just wondering if that's "normal" or if it's only MY device with that "problem"? It's not REALLY a biggy because I usually hold it in my left hand ;)

Mine pinch zooms if Im not touching the outer ring it makes no difference. Have you tried holding it in front of you holding just the plastic. It could have something to do with the accelerometer.
